hawaii!!

With very short notice we flew off to Hawaii for a week!! We had gorgoues weather and a lot of fun!! We stayed at the Aston Waikiki  Sunset .... nice and close to the best breakfast restaurant around!! We spent lotsa time on the beaches, survived waves, ate the most delicious pineapple and coconut syrup, visited the cocoa factory and coffee factory, and most of all became pilots... whooooooo hooooo.. hahaha not quite but we did get to go up in a glider plane with a pilot and got the chance to fly it... sooooo cool!  But anyways.. the weather was perfect, the fruit was amazing, the flowers were gorgeous, but the sun burns hurt!!

The funniest story ever..

After flying from Honolulu to San Fransisco, we sat in the airport for a few hours during the night waiting for our flight home.  At the time we were to leave we got told that our flight would be delayed an hour - no pilot! So we sat and sat and sat some more watching the rain pour down and a new day starting in lovely San Fransisco.  We finally boarded the plane.. just so that we could get organized then get told the back up pilot forgot his passport.. so off the plane we go.  Waiting another painful 2.5 hours before we got to board again.  When we finally got on the plane for hopefully the last time, the gate had pulled away from the plane but the doors were still open to the plane.  All of a sudden this guy comes leaping through the door of the plane! Like what in the world!! Apparently he had walked down the gate realized there was no plane there so he pulled the emergency doors, walked down the stairs, ran across the tarmac and leaped onto our plane!! So right away there was police and security and the whole works surrounding our plane.. so we had another hour and a bit wait sitting on the plane! The poor guy wasnt allowed to fly with us so they were taking his suitcases off when we noticed that they hadnt even loaded our suitcases yet!! Good ol united airways........
